Do I need to calibrate the sensor prior to using it?

Do I need to calibrate the sensor prior to using it?

No calibration necessary!

Our sensors can be installed without calibration, unlike capacitance-based sensors. We recommend soaking the sensors for at least 30 minutes prior to installation (overnight soaking is preferable), as it will improve the sensor sensitivity during the first few rounds of irrigation. We typically use a 5-gallon bucket or trash can to soak the sensors.
